THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Senior Infrastructure Engineer position responsible for the support, maintenance, and improvement of the company's corporate network systems infrastructure across the APAC region. This is a team-based role involving both BAU & projects. Responsibilities include: Build, support, maintain, and enhance infrastructure solutions - server, network, storage, backup, and cloud infrastructure. L3 technical support, troubleshooting and fault resolution relating to application software and corporate infrastructure. Patching and monitoring to ensure system availability, reliability, security, and performance. Administer Wintel systems running on VMware ESX, Azure, SAN storage, Veeam backup, networking (Cisco routing & switching, CheckPoint firewalls). Assist with the design and implementation of new infrastructure solutions. Proactively identify and recommend process improvements. Ensure all documentation is up to date. Upcoming project involvement includes: Cyber uplift System/server upgrades Backup solution migration Building cloud infrastructure to accommodate ERP migration to SAP. Network optimization to accommodate to introduction of Robotic Process Automation into the business. REQURIED BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / PERSONAL QUALITIES This role is suitable for a Senior System Administrator / System Engineer with a strong 'generalist' background building & supporting systems and network infrastructure. The following is required: Strong Windows System Administration experience including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP. Strong VMWare admin & management experience. Background with SCCM management. Azure exp is beneficial. Experience with Backup and storage technologies. Competent networking knowledge and experience (routing, switching, firewalls, wireless etc). Good understanding of infrastructure security. Experience with the design & delivery of infrastructure projects. Friendly with a good sense of humour. This is full time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD (hybrid working available) and is offering $140,000 - $150,000 (plus super).
