What is Your Mission? As a Senior Engineering Manager within the Integration & Services team of ANZ Plus, your mission is to significantly improve the customer experience through building and running a set of features and business services that will be used in our new customer propositions across the Retail and Commercial Banking sectors. You’ll be defining the vision and be accountable for delivering ANZ Plus’s in-house Add-on’s APIs, Open Banking data in/out engine, and ConnectID. You’ll also help integrate these capabilities into the current ANZ landscape and ensure both the new, and current propositions work in parallel. You’ll also work with different partners to help build new propositions on top of these platforms. Success is: Partnering with Engineering Managers to build small, and empowered Engineering lead teams capable of delivering high performing, reusable software. Working with both internal stakeholders and the various ANZ Plus Ecosystems squads to set priority and vision for the platform. Working with your teams to innovate and build the best Open Banking data in platform, benchmarked against the market. Work with the squads to share key innovations back with the broader technology community (including open source). Building “high performing teams” measured against the four key DORA metrics. What will your day look like Enabling and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team ('Squad') to pursue its mission, by guiding them on 'what' work should be completed by the squad and ‘why’. The Senior Engineering Manager constantly prioritises the squad’s work with the customer at the heart of their decision making. They take responsibility for the full life-cycle of the product from inception through to development, launch, and support. The Senior Engineering Manager also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to ANZx’s broader mission, and engages with other Engineering & Product Managers to align and manage interdependencies. This is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer and business value at pace. ANZ Plus Ecosystems Technology Stack Go gRPC and REST Temporal Google Cloud Platform - Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud Run, Spanner (SQL), PubSub, GCS, BigQuery GitHub / GitHub Actions Slack (chat) / Teams (calls) What will you bring? Experience delivering technology software in a large, complex environment, where integration and quality is key – Software Engineering experience will be highly regarded. Experience building large scale cloud native software supporting millions of users. Strong understanding of the current Retail and Commercial Banking environment. Strength in collaboration to ensure shared outcomes across ANZ, with the ability to motivate a diverse group of people around a common mission. A creative, customer-focused mindset with a passion for radically simplifying complex processes and issues. Willingness to question the status quo, and energised by building new customer solutions, and making improvements to existing value propositions. Ability to challenge yourself and the business on the value that will be delivered to customers. Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making. So, why join us?
