About the role:Due to an exciting stage of growth within the Operational Technology team, we are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the provision of specialist Operations Technology (OT) engineering knowledge and programming skills for application to projects as part of the Acquisitions team.As the Principal Engineer, you will provide specialist advice and execute tasks to deliver safe and simple Control System standards that improve reliability and production outcomes.What the role will offer: This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity will be reporting to the Manager Acquisitions. Substantial experience with the design and delivery of OT in a complex operational environment.Ability to document solutions in Functional Control Descriptions and apply expertise as required to design, program, and implement SCDA solutions.Substantial experience with vendor and contract management practices and processesConsiderable knowledge of SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, and software technologiesWorking knowledge of large and small water utility operations.Experience with the commissioning and integration of OT assets as applied to utilities or similar industries.Leadership experienceWhat the role will involveLead the review and development of control systems, programming, and automation standards.Manage and lead the governance and maintain the Control Systems Blueprint elements (including standards, specifications, drawings, processes, and systems) to reflect approved modifications.Working with various vendors and stakeholders to help define and deliver Control Systems aligned with the Operational Technology Strategy.Provide leading control system engineering technical expertise to assist with Site/Asset and functional managed projects that are associated with Control Systems.Apply OT engineering expertise to the scoping, designing constructing, commissioning, and transferal of metro and regional OT assets.
