We are seeking a Senior Server Standard Operating Environment Engineer Open to : Must hold a current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Location : ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC Canberra -the work is to be performed at the buyer’s premises. Adelaide-Brisbane-Melbourne-the work is to be performed at the buyer’s premises. (some remote working arrangements may be considered on a case by case basis) Sydney - working arrangements will be considered on a case by case basis. Role : The Senior Server Standard Operating Environment Engineer’s role will be focused on the provision of a robust ICT capability whilst ensuring the security of the day-today technical operations. They will provide broad technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities for a wide range of Microsoft technologies. Requirements Essential Criteria Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Windows Server management, projects and implementation. Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM. Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management,RBAC, AppLocker, Server imaging. Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript). Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments, including Vrealize automation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Tasks/Duties Maintain and support Services Australia and partner agencies Microsoft environment end to end. Provide third level support for users and managed personal computing devices. Provide broad technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities. Monitor, tune and maintain ICT software components and perform system testing. Consult with the infrastructure team in the design, procurement and deployment of hardware and related assets. Schedule and perform regular maintenance and updating of supported products. Perform technical operations for ICT solutions. Maintain technical system information in service tools. Perform daily monitoring activities. Support the development of plans for backups and disaster recovery and execute those plans when necessary. Perform problem management and root cause analysis. Execute technical change management. Prepare a range of technical and corporate documentation. Escalate issues that adversely impacts on policy, performance and/or service. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure effective and timely implementation of business solutions.
