Do you want to be our new Production Engineer? The role includes to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production within the Fibre Optic Cable pre-termination cell at our Dee Why manufacturing plant. This includes personnel management, production monitoring, maintenance and safety, inventory management, problem-solving, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, both locally and overseas, to ensure the efficient and timely production of high-quality fibre optic cables leads. Key Responsibilities: Build and lead teams within the pre-termination cell. Manage schedules, allocate resources effectively, and participate in recruitment processes. Coach and train operators Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to safety regulations and production requirements, including quantity, deadlines, quality, and cost Keen eye for process improvement and cost reduction Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure the safety of personnel within the production facility. Monitor inventory levels, coordinate the arrival of raw materials, and assist to facilitate the shipment of finished goods with the logistics team. Process leadership for product improvement, new product and technology introduction. Address production issues promptly and efficiently, including resolving technical problems and interpersonal conflicts. Qualifications needed: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field. Experience in production of medium to large volumes of products. Knowledge and experience in Fibre Optics is preferred though not mandatory, and we encourage applications from candidates without this specific skill. Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse production data and implement improvements. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage a team of technicians and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
