About the Role: The Occupational Medicine Unit (OMU) sits within the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Support Services and the OMU staff support the guiding principles associated with work health safety by protecting the workforce, patients, and the community. This support includes undertaking qualitative fit testing for health care workers and overseeing the occupational assessment, screening, and vaccination procedure, as well as the management of staff with blood and bodily fluid exposures. The Administrative Service Officer is an integral team member of the OMU, with demonstrated knowledge, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Under broad direction, you will be involved in processing clients through all facets of staff screening, providing administrative support to the nursing team to achieve a culture of working together to create exceptional care for our staff and clients. Canberra Hospital Expansion Project - CHS is constructing a new critical services building called 'Building 5' which is a 44,000sqm nine storey building specifically designed to deliver state-of-the-art acute clinical services at the Canberra Hospital.
