Hourly rate: $80 - $120 per hour (negotiable for an outstanding candidate) Contract duration: Up to two years Hours of work: Full time, hours can be flexible Location: Pork Kembla, NSW If you are a Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) Engineer who is looking to work on a major capital project in the Illawarra, this is the role for you Tecside is a specialist recruitment company seeking an Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) Engineer to work with our client who is a leader in Steel production industry. The purpose of this position is to deliver Structural, Mechanical & Piping Engineering co-ordination and mechanical work for a major Project in Port Kembla. The duties include: Participate in the hands on resolution of engineering issues Actively participate in HSE document reviews & workshops Develop and maintain a Design Management Plan Application and knowledge of Australian/International Standards related to Structural, Mechanical and Piping Systems Work within a team of experts to ensure engineering completion of an assigned package of work. The successful candidate will have: Mechanical Engineering qualification 5 years of experience managing the engineering aspects of capital projects in heavy industry Experience in the successful delivery of major capital project(s) as a project team member Knowledge of engineering packages Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage detail across broad project aspects and a variety of engineering disciplines.
