You'll play a vital role in a data engineering team, designing and implementing services for an advanced data platform by: Collaborating with key stakeholders, Team Leaders and Technology teams to complete the required build artefacts and capture necessary inputs Designing and implementing data pipelines for downstream data consumption processes Determining system requirements and QA scenarios Working with the team on delivery components including architecture, DevOps, data pipelines, ETL jobs, ingestion patterns Providing advice and review designs for enterprise data management initiatives. Setting up & managing build environments, to deploy code to Development & higher environments Trouble shooting issues relating to networking, security and tooling A little bit about you Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience Solid experience in Cloud platforms, particularly GCP, including BigQuery, Dataflow and Airflow Working experience in a DevOps model in an Agile environment and experience in git, Jenkins/Bamboo, advanced scripting (shell, Python etc), GCP Composer Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience of architecture and high level design with an ability to present options, recommendations, estimation and technical planning Experience in Data Vault Design to help define & implement scalable solutions including hub, link, and satellite tables. Have solid understanding and experience in relational, NoSQL, multi-dimensional, object and graph data structures and implementation technologies.
