Automation Test Engineer — Chatswood, Willoughby Area
Expired

Can you tell the difference between functional and regression test, identify when it’s time to adopt automation, and then build test frameworks from scratch? Then we’d really like to speak to you. We need a Product Test Engineer like you that knows how to test a product from device to user interface, to API, communication protocols and cloud. Someone that enjoys new product development, innovation, and high-quality software. You might be someone that's earlier on in your career that's looking to build your skills or you might be an experienced QA specialist who wants to change domains and apply your software skills to projects that involve machine automation and robotic. You may even be a developer who wants to switch to a QA role. You’ll join a profitable, engineering business in the automated supply chain and logistics domain. They do things like invest in your learning (expect to get your QA and Microsoft Certifications here) , offer incentives and annual salary increases so you don’t need to change jobs to get a pay rise. You’ll be a part of a reputable brand that designs and deploys bespoke automated solutions used in the supply chain & logistics domain. Due to sustained growth in lucrative overseas markets (e.g. Middle East, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia) with a strong pipeline of projects, they're looking to grow their Sydney team. They’ve won more than a few Good Design Awards, and they’d like to win a few more. You’ll help them do that. If you’ve not built software test for automation or electronics products before, no sweat, there’s plenty of smart people for you to learn from here. Be warned though, testing, and debugging software that runs on hardware and networking -based products is both challenging and addictive. What we’re looking for? You’ll know either Python, Perl, C# or other common scripting languages and come from an environment using modern technologies, for software test, so you know how to things like configure a Jenkins build server for CI/CD. You'll have some knowledge of database performance optimisation, computer networking concepts (e.g. know how socket connections are established, TCP/IP basics). You’re Sydney based but happy to work in a flexible environment where you're encouraged you to work from home as much as you’d like. If that sounds like you, get in touch.
