Hughenden Multipurpose Health Service Is part of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and our role is to provide acute and subacute health care to our community, which includes: Emergency services 24/7 with the support of nursing staff and Medical Officer with Right of Private Practice. Nursing services are led by the Director of Nursing/Facility Manager with Clinical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses Advanced Scope, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing. Collaboration with the local community and other Townsville Hospital Health Services as well as non-government organisations in providing the best care we can for our community. Benefits Salary range of $37.30 - $43.51 p.h. (casual rate) (AO2) 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Other employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs and access to corporate discounts Role requirements Aged Care Pre Employment Screening will be required: Under section 96-1 of the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Department of Health Police Certificate Guidelines 2017, appointees to the position will require a current National Police Certificate. Townsville HHS will facilitate applicants obtaining the above check. Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Ability to organise and prioritise daily workloads, sometimes working with minimal supervision and to accept non-routine tasks. High level interpersonal and communication skills, incorporating the ability to liaise effectively with clients and staff of all levels with tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion. Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, ethical behaviour and continuous improvement. Ability to coordinate bookings (clinical appointments, waitlist management, scheduling and meeting outcome targets). High level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and negotiate with clients and staff at all levels of the organisation. Proficiency in the application of computerised information systems and applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel, HBCIS, FAMMIS.
