As the K-1 teacher, you'll be responsible for the learning needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 1 in a multi-age classroom setting. Our preferred applicant will hold an early childhood qualification. This is a temporary full time position where subsidised departmental accommodation may be available. Welcome to Mount Garnet State School We are a small vibrant school on the south western edge of the Atherton Tablelands, catering to around 68 students from Prep to Year 6. Our dedicated teaching staff are a wonderful mix of comparatively young and older experienced teachers. They consist of a teaching principal, three dedicated classroom teachers and three equally dedicated teacher aides who are a valued and a very important part of the delivery of our educational programs. There is an office administrator, a guidance officer who attends our school one day a fortnight, a casual grounds person and two cleaners.
