Agitator Driver Driving a concrete agitator truck for Hanson is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different, there's nothing routine about this roleAbout the role:This full-time role will be based out of our Tamworth Concrete PlantMost days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to 10 hours per day, and around 50 hours per week. Saturday work is according to business needs and is paid at overtime ratesWe pay a base rate and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paidafter 10 hours in one shiftAs we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven't met beforeWe provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loadsAll new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourselfAbout you:Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you're onsiteYou prefer variety in your working life. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truckAble to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Hanson sites)Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts.
