The opportunity: The role of Principal Telecommunications Engineer is to ensure that the company have sufficient capable and competent engineering and technical resources to deliver Communications and Operational Technology projects as well as the technology, processes and procedures to support these. The role is based at our Brisbane CBD location, and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model. Ensuring sufficient capable and competent Communications, OT engineering, design and technical resources are available to support RSA projects including: Lead the multi-disciplined design team across multiple projects. Review and approve designs to legislated, industry and client specifications. Input into resource-loaded project programs to determine current and future engineering resourcing requirements. Review and maintain the Competency Management System for relevance. Mentoring all engineering resources. Directing the production and continual support of standards and procedures. To develop and maintain project specific Engineering Management plans. Ensure full compliance of the RSA engineering processes with ISO9001:2008 and other standards as appropriate. Provide input to relevant bids and tenders that are being undertaken by the bid team. Experience with railway communications and OT systems. Proficiency in planning and managing teams of engineers. Eligible to become a Chartered Engineer.
