Eden Ritchie is seeking a Program Officer (Administrator) to assist the Program Office with the administrative functions required to support the Program Office in the delivery of the large scale, complex National Fire Ant Eradication Program and projects in line with the Queensland Government policy requirements. 17 month contract with possible extension Berrinba location As the Program Officer (Administrator), your key responsibilities will include: Monitor and report project progress and implement best practice guidelines and processes to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved for program and assigned projects. Establish optimal administration measures by monitoring project plans, budgets, supporting tasks, records, and registers in accordance with the project lifecycle and program management practices. Support Program Office in identifying risks, issues, and constraints jeopardising project timeframes, and in developing strategies to overcome these challenges. Communicate with influence and use interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills to develop and cultivate productive effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a complex and changing environment. Prepare complex and sensitive reports, briefings, policy papers, submissions and other documentation as required to senior departmental management and other internal and external stakeholders. Collect appropriate information through diverse stakeholders to assist in the preparation of high level and timely advice on the resolution of emergent issues that may require innovative and targeted responses. Maintain a thorough understanding of the political, human resource and financial pressures and constraints that impact service delivery and recommend courses of action to deliver agreed program outcomes. Collaborate with other departmental staff in the management of communication and information activities to ensure program outcomes are synthesised. Participate as an effective team member and work collaboratively with other team members and key stakeholder groups across the program to achieve outcomes. Develop and maintain systems for the effective monitoring and reporting of program activities. Essential requirements for this role : Proven effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment. Highly desirable to this role are: Whilst not mandatory, an understanding of MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK or other methodology would be advantageous.
