The Project CPB Contractors, as part of a joint venture with United Infrastructure, has been selected to deliver the surface civil and alignment works for the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport rail link between Orchard Hills and the new Western Sydney Airport Station. This $600M project encompass the civil infrastructure necessary for the construction of the track which includes: 3.4 kms of elevated viaduct at Orchard Hills and Luddenham 6.7kms of earthworks for track formation A 190M long rail bridge over the new M12 motorway A 20m long bridge within the Airport Temporary and permanent roads Bulk Earthworks for the stabling and maintenance facility site. The SCAW project will provide the platform for future track, new stations and various temporary and permanent roads that will connect Western Sydney Airport to the surrounding suburbs and ultimately to the entire NSW rail network. Works are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2022 and be completed in 2024. Your opportunity The Site Engineer will monitor the project plan and record progress against the program, resolve engineering issues, manage the administration of subcontractors, ensure technical matters with the project are compliant and drive zero harm safety culture on site. Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman, and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards Ensure on site works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets Our minimum requirements for this role are: Tertiary qualification in Engineering 1-2 years experience in a similar role across the execution of major infrastructure projects/precast yard Good written and verbal communication skills The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally CPB Contractors is an equal-opportunity employer.
