About the role TAFE NSW is looking for industry qualified and experienced subject matter experts of Information Technology to join the teaching team as Casual Teacher at their Granville campus. Other campus locations within Western Sydney region can be negotiated subject to campus availability. The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the education process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. About You You are closely involved with the Information Technology Industry and maintain your industry connections. You keep abreast of current industry requirements and have a willingness to continue to obtain industry knowledge. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share information with your students through face to face and connected learning platforms. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy. To be successful in the role you will: 1. Hold Diploma (or above) in Information Technology with specialisation in any of the following: Programming particularly C#, Python Networking Web Cyber Security Project Management Business Analysis Data Analytics Mobile Application Development REST API Database Development Telecommunications with expertise in one or more of these areas – ACMA Cabling, networking, optic fibre, RF or Mobile. 2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously. 3. Hold TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent. 4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
