About the role The Project Manager will play a crucial role in facilitating project success from inception to completion. This individual will be the primary point of contact for clients after contract signing and deposit receipt, overseeing the coordination between clients, designers, surveyors, and construction managers to finalize construction drawings and manage any cost variations. The Project Manager will ensure the smooth preparation, scheduling, and execution of projects, adhering to quality, budget, and timeline expectations. Key Responsibilities for the role Project Initiation and Planning: Take over projects from the sales team upon contract signing and deposit receipt. Collaborate with clients, designers, surveyors, and construction managers to produce final construction drawings and address any cost variants for approval. Site Preparation Plans: Develop detailed site preparation plans, including delivery and construction milestone schedules, as well as an expected resource management plan. Documentation and Approval: Ensure all project plans are thoroughly documented and receive the necessary approvals from the client, construction manager, and project manager before project commencement. Project Execution: Facilitate any variations to the project as required. Regularly assess and update the project's quality, budget, and schedule, providing monthly updates to all stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective lines of communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring expectations are managed, and any issues are promptly addressed. Quality Control and Reporting: Implement rigorous quality control measures and report on project progress, budget, and schedule to senior management and clients. Skills & experience Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or engineering sectors, with a strong background in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients, designers, surveyors, and construction teams. Familiarity with construction drawings, site preparation, and project scheduling. Competence in budget management and resource allocation. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
