Take your career to the next step The Company: Our client, based in Hallam, has 30 years experience in the Automotive Industry and specialises in the concept, development, validation and production of custom automotive solutions which are designed to improve driving safety and comfort. The Role: As a validation engineer you will lead validation processes to ensure products are robustly validated to minimize field warranty and customer complaints. You will design, release and build with programmers and testers to support end of line and validation activities. To be successful you will have experience with: Testing of: Electrical (power supply fluctuations, short circuit, ESD) Mechanical (vibration, shock, drop) Environmental (low/high temperature, humidity, ingress protection) Compliance (EMC, RMC, E-Mark, ADR) Durability (lifetime operational durability, scratch, chemical resistance). Eliciting testing requirements, articulating into the design validation and production validation specification for automotive products Researching and investigating state of the art test methods and procedures relevant to automotive products Establishing and commissioning the test method required to execute the tests in the test specification. Supervising the running of tests Creating and executing component validation test procedures inclusive of system, software, hardware and mechanical designs Creating and executing DVP&R test plans Documenting validation test procedure results Owning FMEA activities related to validation processes Have worked with internal and external test facilities You: A qualification in electrical, electronics or computer systems engineering Minimum 5 years of solid industry experience in validation engineering Excellent documentation skills to ensure all documentation is completed and communicated Experienced with compliance to processes, eg; ISO/TS16949, IATF16949 standards Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Able to multitask and effectively prioritize workload to complete tasks within time constraints What Next?
