Electrician - Fixed Plant Mount Gibson Iron Limited is an established independent Australian producer of premium quality direct shipping iron ore (DSO) with assets in the Kimberley and Mid-West regions of Western Australia. About the role: We are now seeking to employ an experienced Electrician - Fixed Plant at our Koolan Island Operation on a 7 Days On / 7 Days Nights / 7 Day Off (12-hour day) roster from Perth, Broome or Derby. Reporting directly to the Processing Maintenance Supervisor, the primary focus of this role is to be responsible for repairs and maintenance of all electrical aspects of the crushing and ship-loading systems / plant. This includes but is not limited to both planned and breakdown maintenance Key tasks and responsibilities Electrical inspection of all fixed plant electrical systems Diagnosis and repair of faults Tagging of electrical equipment/tools. Electrical isolations/lockouts as per MGI procedure Housekeeping/cleaning of electrical plant components Statutory inspections Diagnosis of PLC faults To be successful in this role, you'll need: Hold a WA 'A' Grade Electrical Workers Licence Current C class motor vehicle licence Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position Strong understanding of electrical maintenance practices in a processing plant Basic PLC and instrument experience EWP Working at heights Confined space First Aid LVR/CPR Able to work as part of a team or unsupervised. Knowledge of PLC systems.
