What You'll do: As an Advanced User Exp Designer, you'll get to work on designing new software innovations using your user experience expertise.You will join our great UX design team that is responsible for the design of Honeywell's flagship automation systems. Your role is to apply your user experience design skills to help continually improve our industrial solutions in areas as diverse as renewables, pharma, batch, and industrial process control, supported by a great team around you. This role reports to the Sydney UX Design Studio Director. You will be responsible for user experience design on major Honeywell Process Solutions products and systems. You will work with other designers in a dynamic interdisciplinary design studio to create world-class design solutions to challenging real world problems. Together, we will create design strategies, develop advanced design concepts and deliver outstanding products to market that delight our end users. In this position, you will collaborate with product development teams, both on site and distributed globally. People who are successful in our environment have highly collaborative skills with an ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels in multidisciplinary teams. As a top candidate, you will have the ability to drive user-centred design consensus on your projects. Focus areas: Leading or collaborating on major UX design projects Identifying and championing user needs Synthesing needs into innovative design concepts Designing the detailed user experience for new product offerings and enhancements Teaming with agile development teams to deliver world class products & solutions Advocating UX design best practices What will you bring to the role: A designer who thinks big You won't be afraid to challenge the norm A passion for design, with a disciplined approach to user experience design focussed on outcomes Craft simple, innovative, and intuitive solutions to complex scenarios Lead or collaborate on UX for major projects, working with other UX designers across the businesses Provide a clear, consistent voice on end-to-end user experience design to project teams and stakeholders. Create and execute user-centred designs for products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world Ability to tackle and define solutions, frameworks and patterns for complex problems and use cases for different user profiles in the IoT space Key Experience & Capabilities: Minimum 5 experience in digital product design Domain experience in Industrial or related fields Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Industrial Design, Human computer-interaction or any equivalent practical experience with user-centered design methodologies and design thinking Experience with UI design approaches including personas, journey mapping, wireframes, storyboarding, and prototyping Fluent with design and prototyping tools, e.g., Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite, Abstract, etc. Experience working in Agile product development teams Experience developing interactive prototypes Good understanding of web technologies International experience working with regional businesses and design teams is a plus Set yourself apart: Have a portfolio where you can show examples of user journeys, Personas, User Research, Prototyping, User Testing and User Experience Design.
