As a result, we have some very exciting career opportunities, come and play a crucial role in the set-up and operations of our new mega Distribution Centre. We’re currently on the lookout for a passionate people leader to join our Afternoon Shift team (2.00PM - 10.00PM). This opportunity is based at our brand-new site in Truganina How you will contribute You will: Be responsible for all operations with the Low Bay (warehouse/picking) area of the DC, including but not limited to receipt and put-aways of stock, MHE management, full pallet and case picking, container loading and unloading. Actively contribute to daily operational meetings, investigating leading/lagging indicators and identification of root causes to ensure KPIs (operations, safety and service) are met. Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure efficient operation across inbound and outbound freight. Partner with technical teams and operators to undertake RCA of critical or high frequency issues, leading the implementation of corrective actions Lead and develop a high performing team, through regular coaching conversations, implementation of development plans and skills assessments A safety-first mindset, proactively coaching team members on safe work procedures, hazards and incident management. Assisting with injury management, investigations and the implementation of corrective actions on site. A passion for Continuous Improvement, playing a key role in the implementation of IL6S (lean manufacturing) across the site. What you will bring: Experience leading a high performing, engaged team within a warehouse environment (FMCG preferred) Deep understanding of logistic, supply chain, transportation and distribution centre operations The ability to negotiate, influence and manage effective internal and external relationships A safety-first mindset Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement processes and implementation.
