Engineer — Mascot, Rockdale Area

Job Summary The Engineer is responsible for performing entry level design and analysis work as directed to support various field and fabrication offices. Essential Functions Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values." Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics." Interpret the design or drawings for crafts installing material. Perform design, modelling, drafting and some analysis work for above ground storage equipment products, namely, but not restricted to, Geodesic Dome Roofs, Aluminum Floating Roofs, Floating Suction Lines, External Floating Roof Seals and Drain Systems. Develop design sketches, 3D models and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor with the help of Senior Engineers. Work with Senior Engineers to write or edit iLogic programs in Autodesk Inventor. Work on special projects assigned and directed by supervisor or other Engineers. Review detail and erection drawings developed by the drafting group. To abide by all Quality Assurance requirements (ISO9001:2015); ensure all quality procedures are executed. Occasionally prepare cost estimates and quotations to customers Liaise with customers on technical enquiries. Perform other related duties, as directed. Qualifications BS or MS degree in Engineering required. 0-3 years' experience. Basic knowledge of strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural engineering. Design experience in API 650 and other standards pertaining to the above ground storage tank industry is an asset. Advanced knowledge of strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural engineering. Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite Cooperates with other team members; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels in professional manner. Exhibits excellent listening, oral and written skills. Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to follow directions. Occasional overtime may be required.
