Hands on Warehouse & Events Leading Hand required for busy events company supplying some of Melbourne's largest public and private events/ concerts. Become a valuable member of our client's dynamic team as a Hands on Warehouse and Events Leading Hand (2IC), reporting directly to the General Manager of Operations. This role is pivotal in supporting the operational functions of their warehouse while ensuring seamless execution onsite, of projects in the events industry. The ideal candidate will lead warehouse operations in the absence of the Operations Manager, including rostering of staff, inventory and stock management. In addition to assisting the Operations Manager with project delivery support, the successful candidate will be hands on for ensuring timely project completion onsite while adhering to all operational Health and Safety protocols This role offers stability with Monday - Friday hours during the off-season, while requiring a high level of flexibility during Events season (September to March), which will include night shifts and early mornings. Key Responsibilities: Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards, adhering to all operational Health and Safety procedures. Oversee inventory tracking and fleet allocations to ensure efficient workflow processes. Assist in the construction and dismantling of temporary structures such as flooring, marquees, and grandstands. Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting a a strong work ethic and attention to detail while showing care and compassion for team members. Requirements for this role: Be physically fit for demanding tasks in a fast paced, high intensity environment Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience Valid construction induction card (White Card) and forklift (LF) ticket Hold or be willing to obtain a working with Children's Card. (Employer version) Must hold a current forklift (LF) Ticket Ideally hold a current MR class or higher truck licence BE punctual and reliable as well as be bale to work flexible hours especially during the events season - September - March. Will include nightshifts, late starts, early mornings depending on the event. Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word and Excel) Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
