Across the landscape of software products needed to support a business of our size, we need to grow our Product Design team to several times its current size. As our Lead Product Designer, fundamentals why we are hiring you include: You have demonstrable ability to define projects and measures of success, test your assumptions and outcomes and continuously incorporate feedback. Patience and curiosity to discover and defend the right solution and iterate rapidly. Propensity to simplify complex problems. Expertise to build consensus but also respond to and give constructive, candid feedback. Appreciation for design thinking and a love for creating usable, innovative products. Comfort in leading and summarising insights from qualitative and quantitative research. Responsibilities Our Lead Product Designer will collaborate with product management and engineering team members to deliver high quality and creative products. You will assist in the creation and maintenance of design systems to ensure consistency across Company design teams and digital properties. Help build and document a design system from existing style guide requirements. Create design assets according to our brand guidelines, putting the user first. Participate in the development of software user manuals and other documentation. Assist in the training of less experienced staff (graduates, juniors, vacation students). Work on projects of varying length and complexity. Take ownership of projects to safeguard design components. Advise on information architecture design based on research and industry best practice. Establish and promote design best practice guidelines and standards. Confidently present the team's work to internal stakeholders, justifying the design solutions and collecting feedback. About you Essential Ability to look at business needs and technical capabilities to devise design solutions Knowledge of user-centred design methodology, including best practice principles and tools used. Experience working with and contributing to design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries. Demonstrated record of delivering high-quality, end-to-end designs for significant web-based applications or platforms. Strong Figma proficiency and experience with interface design. Experience in an Agile environment, Design Sprints, Design Thinking Model Familiarity with design systems, atomic design concepts, and component lifecycles Experience designing for accessibility and international audiences. Bachelor's degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification, I.e. Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering etc. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior or lead role. Knowledge of Brand & Identity Design Experience designing cross-platform (Responsive design, Native Mobile Apps).
