A great opportunity exists for an experienced 'hands on' Warehouse Team Leader to work with this container management and transport company based in the Western suburbs. Permanent Full time role Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm Sunshine West Location Competitive salary on offer Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for leading and working with a team of 6 staff in a 'hands on' capacity. The primary objective of the role is to drive departmental excellence whilst ensuring compliance with business and organisational policies and procedures. Your responsibilities include although are not limited to: Ensure efficient day to day operations of the warehouse Provide leadership to operational team members Willing to be hands on - picking and packing and loading/unloading trucks or containers when required - LF licence with high reach experience essential Manifesting orders Checking and receiving all stock Inventory control - ensuring high levels of stock accuracy and stock control Warehouse administration & Customer service Ensure all OH&S guidelines are followed to ensure a safe working environment Provide ongoing training and support to staff Ensure team meets quality standards, targets and customer expectations To be considered for this position, you will have: Previous experience in a similar warehouse role essential Warehouse administration or general administration experience Solid leadership capability in a "hands on" role, with the ability to lead, mentor and manage team member to achieve targets Current LF Forklift licence with High Reach experience essential Computer literacy skills - experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required - Freight Tracker experience highly regarded Experience with picking and packing, inventory and stocktaking Effective communication skills - both written and verbal This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong people management skills to work with this highly regarded company with a potential to grow within their organisation.
