We are looking for a Warehouse Officer to work in a team who have a great customer focus. This role will interface with a variety of site customers and external vendors to ensure an efficient receipting, storage and distribution of parts and materials at Boyne Smelters Limited. Reporting to the Crew Leader-Warehouse, and working a 9-day fortnight roster, some of your key responsibilities will include: Incoming/ Outgoing goods processing Truck unloading Problem solving Stocktaking Customer Service What you'll bring: A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team The successful applicant with be self-motivated and a problem solver. You will have demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team and bring a positive attitude to working with others. You will have strong ability to clearly communicate with team members and stakeholders. You will need high computer literacy with the ability to demonstrate accuracy with data entry. You will have a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to develop new skills as required. Where you'll be working Boyne Smelters Limited is Australia's second largest aluminium smelter with a 1,000-person strong workforce. Located approximately 20km south east of Gladstone at Boyne Island on the Central Queensland coast, BSL produces around 500,000 tonnes of aluminium per annum. Activities at BSL include manufacturing carbon anodes in the carbon plant, aluminium production (smelting) in reduction lines, and casting of molten material into aluminium products ready to ship. The smelter is connected via a conveyor belt to the Queensland Alumina Limited refinery for the supply of alumina.
