Oracle Database Administrator 3-Month contract Bankstown As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle server 11g and 12c databases, as well as SQL Server 2008 onwards. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our database systems, enabling us to deliver high-quality services to the public. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle server 11g and 12c databases. Manage SQL Server 2008 onwards databases. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and data migrations. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance. Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive data. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand database requirements and implement solutions. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed. Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years experience in administration of Oracle server 11g and 12c. Experience managing SQL Server versions 2008 R2 / 2012 and above Familiarity with database architecture, design, and performance tuning principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Qualifications: Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional). Experience working in a public sector or government agency. Knowledge of public sector compliance and security standards. Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms. Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
