In this role, you'll: Be part of the team that keeps the rail service moving You’ll be based in Eveleigh and play an important role in ensuring Sydney Trains is providing safe and efficient service to the community. It is a diverse role that will see you carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, problem analysis, and repairs to electrical control systems, electrical generating systems, train lighting, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and more. In addition, there will be testing and works relating to mechanical system, engines, doors, brakes, etc. This is a permanent, fulltime position with your base being a 24-hour operating centre, as a result the roster will include weekends and nights. Please click here for more information. About you Whilst experience is of great importance, this role does require a relevant trade qualification (min Cert III in Electrical Engineering). In addition to the qualification, you have relevant experience in systems, fault finding, maintenance and repair. This is combined with a collaborative and adaptable nature, ability to work autonomously and within a small team, and a safety-focused approach to your work. If you also hold licences in AirCon and Refrigeration, that would be advantageous, but the right candidate can be provided with extra training.
