About the role Being based at Mt Arthur South located in the Hunter Valley, we are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Superintendent with strong leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will: Be required to manage the implementation and maintenance of a cost effective, efficient store by ensuring appropriate levels of stock are on site, Ensure that ordering is completed in a timely manner and stores are manned at all times. You will possess extensive stores experience with a proven ability to manage a busy warehouse. Have prior experience in a mining environment and working alongside heavy earthmoving machinery will be highly regarded. Have the ability to use initiative whist following operational guidelines is essential as is your prior experience working with a stores control system. Develop & recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote safety, efficiency, faster service & customer satisfaction. Work closely with site stakeholders to ensure service levels are being achieved. About you You will ensure that goods inwards and outwards are managed effectively, and re-order points are analysed to ensure appropriate levels of stock are on site, and ordering is completed in a timely manner. Your challenge will be to increase the efficiency of the warehouse. You will provide training and direction to your direct reports and ensure good succession plans are in place by providing a supporting and mentoring environment. Requirements of this position include:- High commitment to Safety; Extensive Supervisory Experience in a warehouse environment. Exceptional organisational, communication, and time management skills; Inventory Management knowledge is essential Strong relationship building and leadership skills; Computer literacy in Word, Outlook, Excel and similar software is vital; Knowledge of JD Edwards is highly desirable.
