CPB Contractors - Melbourne, VIC Construction, Architecture & Interior Design Source: uWorkin About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. The Spark Consortium's Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity This is a senior opportunity to work on Melbourne's largest project to date. Your responsibilities will entail the coordination of on-site engineering functions including management of Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers for the Buildings components of the project, with a multi-million dollar portfolio of work. You will be responsible for managing the Buildings sections of the project and team to achieve time and budget objectives and provide efficient support for construction activities. This role will be accountable for: Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary All coordination of Buildings works in the vast tunnelling component of the project Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangements Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings Minimum requirements for this role are: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent. Proven experience in managing construction project's greater than $200 million. Understanding of the Quality Management Plan. Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Projects Design Management Plan. Ability to manage and develop a large, high performing team. Have significant stakeholder management skills, team building and leadership experience.
