About the role The CCU provides assessment and residential rehabilitation services within a highly structured physical envrionment. Consumers, carers and families receive high levels of contact with staff who will work to promote self-determination and empowerment, enabling progress towards achieving personal recovery goals. Services provided will be individualised to support recovery and will include discipline specific assessment and intervention, case management, individual and group work, discharge planning, education to consumers/carers, and liaison with other services. The grade 2 social worker will work within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of specialist social work input, and will provide supervision and mentoring to the novice work force. About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Essential: Holds a degree qualification in social work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers as eligible for membership as a social worker Experience working in a mental health setting Experience knowledge and skills: Sound theoretical knowledge and demonstrated ability in the delivery and evaluation of social work services to those with a lived experience of mental health Demonstrated at least one year post graduate experience working within a mental health setting Skill and experience in undertaking psycho-social assessments Working knowledge of contemporary recovery principles Experience and understanding of NDIS Case management within a mental health setting Development and implementation of individualised plans A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Excellent communication and organisational skills/computer literacy Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills Desirable: Hold a current Vic driver's licence Experience in group delivery Experience with CRM Training/experience undertaking Single Session Family Consultations Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
