Join the dynamic team of one of our clients in North Queensland as a highly motivated Mining Engineer About the role: Be part of the crew at our mine site in North Queensland. This is a temporary to permanent position with the opportunity for long-term employment. Work on a flexible roster of 12 days on and 9 days off, or 8 days on and 6 days off - all dayshift. Your responsibilities: Create and deliver site drilling and blast designs and plans efficiently. Prepare accurate blast masters in a timely manner. Ensure blast stock and stockpile capacity are prepared accurately and on time. Collaborate with Superintendents by presenting the weekly plan and analyzing the previous plan together. Design drill patterns following the established standards. Provide operational support to the Mine Superintendent and Underground Supervisors. Assist in the development and execution of the Weekly Plan. Prepare backfill plans and obtain authorizations. Conduct regular inspections of the underground workings. Be available for relief underground supervision when needed. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Manage explosives, including stocktakes and ordering. Perform other duties within your training and competence, including assisting with underground operations. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering, a mining-related discipline, or currently pursuing the degree. At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role. Proficient in operating Deswik software. Preferred, but not required, Ventilation Officer Training. Familiarity with VentSim software is a plus, but not mandatory. Be able to pass medical, DAS, NPC.
