ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Operative 2IC will play a key role in supporting the efficiency and safeness of our warehouse. The successful candidate will assist in supervising the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Main responsibilities include: Support the Warehouse Team Leader in overseeing daily warehouse operations. Provide guidance and direction to warehouse Operatives to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Check batch/quality issues/expiry date of products - to ensure FEFO (First Expired First Out) is strictly adhered to Sales order picking, packing and dispatching Coordinate stock rotation and replenishment activities to maintain optimal warehouse efficiency. Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective measures as needed. Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among the warehouse team. Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse processes and improve productivity. ABOUT YOU Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures. Forklift license and experience operating warehouse equipment preferred.
