About the Role Lecturer (Level A) Bachelor of Social Work The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) equips students with the knowledge and skills to promote the rights, empowerment, and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities. Guided by principles of social justice, human rights, and respect for diversity, and with an understanding of policy, socioeconomic factors, and equity, social work graduates will be equipped to advocate for positive social change. Position Summary This academic role will assist in teaching, coordinating units, developing curriculum, and support students as they learn. They will also support the administrative functions of the discipline and undertake scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in their discipline or professional field. Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with the curriculum development team to develop learning resources, assessments, and other materials to support the delivery of high-quality education. Assist in delivering dynamic lectures, tutorials, fostering an inclusive environment for active student participation, critical thinking, and providing constructive feedback to support academic progression. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other educators, students, and external partners to ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience. Follow up with students and provide necessary support to achieve a success rate of 95% or higher in students successfully. Regularly monitor and record class attendance, implementing strategies to enhance student engagement and participation. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities demonstrated through interactions with faculty members, industry professionals, and students, emphasizing a steadfast commitment to teamwork and interdisciplinary cooperation. Key Selection Criteria A Master of Social Work (MSW), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Graduate Certificate of Education & Training (GCET) PhD and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) is preferred but not necessary.
