The Role: CDC NSW is seeking experienced drivers for driving during weekends and mid-week late night shifts for Rail Replacement services and Special Event work. This is a Casual Bus Driver role working on weekends and late weeknights from our Northmead depot. As a Bus Driver, you will assist customers in reaching their destinations and meet their commitments by providing a safe and comfortable journey. We are seeking people with availability to work a Saturday night (minimum) or Saturday and Sunday nights. You need to be willing to work the afternoon and late evening shift hours between midday (12:00 to 05:00). Key Responsibilities: Delivering a prompt and reliable transport service Carry out pre departure checks and reporting mechanical defects Drive effectively and efficiently while ensuring passengers safety and comfort Identify, address and report unsafe or unhealthy conditions, practices or behavior in the workplace Maintain up to date knowledge of road laws and company policies The responsibility of using OPAL ticket machines and checking passes Accurately completing recording procedures such as daily journals, time records, customer loading data and fuel and charter records Skills, Attributes and Experience which are essential to succeed in this role: Have a Heavy Vehicle Licence (MR and above) and carry your Logbook. Have an NSW Bus Drivers Authority Have a Working with Children Check Experience driving 12.5m bus Availability to work weekends and mid-week night rail shifts.
