Valve Sales Engineer - Contract Weir Minerals Artarmon | Eight Mile Plains Onsite Purpose of Role: As an experienced Valve Sales Engineer reporting to the Product Sales Manager, you will undertake the challenge of growing sales across the East Coast focusing on our superior range of valves. You will work closely with our Area Managers supporting our mining and processing clients, providing fast and accurate quotes to meet the specifications of the job and execute those quotes through to confirmed sales orders. Key Responsibilities: Review customer specifications and develop complete technical and commercial proposals Evaluate prospective company products' application and provide solutions on the basis of customer needs Preparing tenders in order to attain orders for regions and through market segments Fostering the development of new, creative products and services Identify and develop new opportunities in current and prospective accounts Plan and conduct sales calls for potential and existing customers Convey customer requirements to product development and engineering teams Effectively manage the delivery of products working alongside delivery and fulfilment teams Management of all technical issues related to projects/products and applications and preparation and presentation of reports Utilise the CRM to capture sales opportunities and forecasts Prepare all reporting requirements and meet and exceed sales targets Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in mechanical, chemical or processing engineering Well-developed written and verbal communications skills Experience working within mining and/or processing industries preferrable Knowledge with SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft office programs (excel, word ) Proven track record of achieving sales budgets and targets Previous experience with valves - highly desirable Hold a current drivers license Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
