About the role: An exciting, opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our First Aid Teacher Within this role you will be providing high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to workplace and trainee students, to: support student success in First Aid courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways ensure BHI compliance requirements are met. The Health Team within the Faculty of Health, Community and Animals has a responsibility for delivering the First Aid qualifications to all enrolled students across Box Hill Institute undertaking the following units; HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012. The position reports to the Course Co-ordinator and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of BHI at all levels. This opportunity is a casual vacancy. About You: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education is essential A current and relevant Health qualification, including current qualifications in HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012 Ability to research, design, select and deliver a wide range of engaging and relevant course materials as well as learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful training program Experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials and well developed skills in transferring knowledge Ability to demonstrate leadership within the classroom; motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes, manage difficult and sensitive topics and questions and identify potential and existing issues and setbacks; working to resolve any issues Passionate about knowledge sharing and ability to work within a team, contributing to the positive work environment and culture Proven ability to be readily adaptable to changing circumstances within the classroom Highly supportive and compassionate with a commitment to continuous improvement and high level communication About Us: We are proud to be a leading education provider with a strong reputation for delivering high quality educational outcomes.
