We are seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy Engineering Manager to lead our multi-disciplinary departments including R&D, Design, Estimating and Technical Services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Engineering Manager reporting to the General Manager , you will be responsible for: Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of 15-20 professionals Provide in-depth technical product, estimating and application knowledge to support the ongoing development of the business Develop and implement strategies focused on product innovation and efficiency Lead the technical production of designs across the engineering division Directly contributing to the progress of projects by ensuring that designs & drawings are produced according to the Project or Tender Program Ensures that all designs produced to meet the appropriate Standards and Regulations Build and nurture strong relationships, focusing on understanding and meeting clients needs Assess short and long-term needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful work environment Guide and mentor lead engineers and designers Working with the manufacturing, operations and quality manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development Interact with clients as critical technical design and sales opportunities KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, recognized in Australia Minimum 10 years experience working in related manufacturing/engineering industry Demonstrable success in leading large teams and managing complex projects Good knowledge and understanding of WA Mining Proficiency across the Microsoft Suite and standard CRM systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Flexibility and openness to travelling regional WA to meet with clients and colleagues WHAT'S ON OFFER: Attractive salary package plus car allowance and lucrative bonus structure Great team culture demonstrated by excellent retention rates and long tenures Continuous opportunities for further training and development Considerable career progression opportunities Full time permanent opportunity, based within Perth metro area (Bayswater) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
