Maximum Term Full Time - Perth Apply now Job no: 502969 Employment type: Full Time Location: Perth Categories: Disability About the role The Disability Service Leader is critical in providing personalised coaching and mentoring for Disability Support Workers, so they can uplift their skills and knowledge as disability support professionals. You will manage our lifestyle and community supports across the Perth Metro area, ensuring the people we support are enabled to maximise choice and control, and employees are actively supporting services to be safe and compliant. This is an exciting time to be a part of implementing the new Practice Framework “Active Support” and coaching teams to embed and maintain person-centred active support. This is full-time 12 month, max-term (parental leave cover) position based in our Leederville office. Key Responsibilities Lead a team and provide advice and supervision to achieve positive outcomes Ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the delivery of contemporary disability services guided by the people we support Facilitate and manage a partnership approach with families and supporters Manage the running of services including budgets, compliance, reporting and staff ratios Collaborate with key business partners to ensure national consistency in delivering a positive service Manage, monitor and report on incidents and complaints Communicate and act in ways that are consistent with Life Without Barriers’ values Participate and share the responsibility of an on-call roster Skills & Experience Experience in a leadership position within the delivery of services to people with a disability Diploma in relevant Social & Community Services or relevant experience Established influencing and negotiation skills A passion and drive to use your leadership capability to make an impact in the sector Ability to think creatively and use initiative To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
