We are currently seeking an experienced Fashion Accessories Buyer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Buying Manager, you'll be responsible for using a strategic, collaborative, and relationship-based approach to grow and drive the success of the department. As a Buyer, you'll play an essential role in sourcing, selecting, buying and selling. You'll execute great buying opportunities with suppliers that yield optimal commercial outcomes for the business and continue to build our brand as the number one destination. You could expect your typical day to include some of the following things: What you’ll be doing Develop and select an on-trend customer relevant product range in accordance with the SKU count Procure Merchandise in line with the available OTB. Negotiate costs and trading terms to maximise win-win outcome. Submit and manage the promotional plan that will enhance the department sales and profitability whilst ensuring the required deadlines are met. Conduct regular forecast reviews in conjunction with Planner. Maximise financial outcomes for Catch through strong negotiation when dealing with suppliers. What you’ll bring to the table Proven experience as a Buyer in either an online or traditional retail environment Experience across multiple sub-categories and have an established network of contacts. In-depth knowledge of consumer preferences and behaviours in the category Strong commercial focus with excellent numerical ability and analytical skills Passion – lots of it Unwavering enthusiasm and a can-do attitude Excellent communication skills Understanding and trust in data. Your decisions are creative, and data driven. Collaboration. You work with your team to create awesome ideas and seek support when you need to Calm under pressure.
