If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking to appoint a Learning Designer as part of the Digital Futures team, which supports the College of Sciences and Engineering. As our new Learning Designer, you will play a key role in the co-design of curriculum and the implementation of hybrid learning experiences. You will help shape our students learning experiences both online and in person. You will work across various phases of the curriculum lifecycle, from the design and development of intended learning outcomes, assessment criteria, and assessments tasks through to delivery and pedagogy implementation. You will prominently work in collaboration with academic staff on unit-level curriculum and provide hands on support and advice regarding curriculum that promotes collaboration, authentic learning experiences and digital literacy. This role can be based in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or working remotely from another location. It is a full time or part time position by negotiation. What you’ll do: Lead teaching teams through bespoke learning design processes to enable the design or amendment of unit-level curriculum. Provide expert advice and support in digital methods, learning design and innovative practice for diverse units of study, location and modes of delivery. Collaborate with academic staff to develop learning and teaching resources and environments suitable for Hybrid Learning Environments. Design, plan, and facilitate professional development events, learning resources, and processes in response to the needs identified in consultation with Academic teaching staff and academic development colleagues. ­What we’re looking for: Degree in Education or Teaching with subsequent workplace application, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, or training. Demonstrated experience in developing constructively aligned learning and teaching resources suitable for Hybrid Learning Environments Experience in facilitating design-centric conversations, which empower individuals to explore and co-create high impact and innovative learning experiences. Advanced knowledge of digital learning principles and practices, as well as current and future trends in digital learning technologies. Ability to guide academic staff in Assessment approaches responding to Generative AI, emergent technologies, programmatic / authentic assessment strategies and assessing the process of learning. Demonstrated organisational and project management skills along with the ability to work as an effective member of cross-functional teams. Familiarity with the Australian University Accord Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $123,548 comprising base salary within the range of $96,071 to $105,597 plus 17% superannuation.
