Blacktown Workers Club is seeking friendly, experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team. About the Role The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dedicated maintenance team who have a strong work ethic and together work to the highest standard to provide a safe and well presented experience for our members, guests and staff across our three club venues. This is a part time role Monday to Friday working up to 37 hours per week with min 8 hours per week. Level 3 base rate $26.40 per hour. The candidate will report into the Maintenance Supervisor, duties included Assist with responses to maintenance requests to ensure the group buildings and properties are functional and in good repair and meet with government and regulations, environmental and WHS standards. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work, General repairs, painting, cleaning, furniture relocation and assembly, fixing leaking taps, changing light bulbs, assist with holding a ladder Maintain the cleanliness of the outside spaces , ensuring standards of presentation are high Assist with the maintenance of plant equipment and supplies to ensure meets with Australian Standards Assist with the engagement of subcontractors and ensure relevant documentation and safety process have been documented in line with the WHS Act. Ensure compliance with WHS policy, safety procedures and processes. Adhere to company policy and procedures Qualifications/Skills, Experience and Inherent Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance / similar role with at least 6 months experience Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, follow directions and team player Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment using safety guidelines, Excellent verbal and written communication Analytical ability Provide First Aid certification or willing to obtain Sound knowledge of legislative requirements including the Workplace health and Safety Act.
