Enerven is excited to announce that we have been appointed by Origin to construct the Eraring battery in NSW. This nationally significant project is a grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) set to be among the largest in Australia. Enerven are proud to work alongside Origin and Wärtsilä to deliver this exciting project and further bolster our activity in reshaping the NSW energy market. Enerven specialises in the design, construction and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, with specific expertise and experience in transmission, distribution and renewable energy markets. This significant project is of major strategic importance to Enerven as it enables us to continue to unlock the national renewables market with the design and installation of one of the largest Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Australia. Enerven is now seeking to appoint an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor with a strong civil background to support the delivery of the design and installation of this BESS at Eraring Power Station in Newcastle. This role will be pivotal in implementing and managing Enerven’s safety first ethos to ensure all our people work safe, home safe, everyday. The Role: Reporting to our Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all work groups that are required for the overall successful completion of site-based construction activities in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. In conjunction with the Construction Manager, the role will also provide site leadership and coordinate all aspects of planning and scheduling works including the coordination of external civil contractors. Attention to detail, accurate record keeping, and the interpretation of detailed civil drawings will be key components of this role. The Successful Candidate: In addition to your strong Civil Construction background, you will also have experience in delivering major civil work including Design and Construct Contract Works, Substation Construction and High Voltage installation civil works, bulk earthworks, detailed civil construction including concrete foundations and electrical conduits, extensive planning, scheduling and forecasting skills. You will be an exceptional communicator on all levels, able to lead and deliver a team with a strong focus on safety, quality, client delivery and project execution. Naturally a problem solver and a practical thinker, experience in renewable projects and associated civil aspects will see you become a front runner for this role. Candidates will need to be prepared to undertake pre-employment screening including a medical and police check. You will also need your current drivers licence and be required to undertake all necessary site inductions and training requirements.
