The Opportunity As a key member of a growing in-house legal team, you will be responsible for the delivery of reliable, accurate, timely advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of complex and interesting matters. You will have the opportunity to become a trusted advisor across all divisions of ElectraNet and to develop your legal and commercial skills whilst protecting the business and ensuring ElectraNet meets its business objectives. There will be exposure to a broad range of legal issues including construction, commercial, native title, cultural heritage, security of critical infrastructure, property, environmental, IT, litigation, procurement, regulatory and compliance. This role will work collaboratively with our Legal Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and Executive Legal Risk and Governance. You'll contribute to the ongoing development and continual improvement of team and organisational culture and be accountable for the provision of high-quality legal advice and services, including: Contract preparation and negotiations; Corporate and commercial transactions; Regulatory advice; Property and conveyancing transactions and advice; and Legal policy, procedures and training. About You You will have demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) in a complex commercial or law firm environment, tertiary qualifications in law, along with a current practicing certificate. Your qualifications will ideally be coupled with previous experience in energy, construction, contract negotiations and drafting and you will have attention to detail, strong communication, presentation and research skills, and sound commercial acumen.
