About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Urban Designer to join our dynamic Urban Design team to provide strategic, creative and spatial design thinking and facilitate the delivery of growth area and infill projects. This role will support a broad range of projects across established, growth and rural areas ranging from strategic visioning to supporting capital projects improving town centres. Key projects for the Urban Design team includes the preparation of urban design frameworks, masterplans, design concepts, and guidelines and providing advice on development applications. The Urban Designer will collaborate within the organisation to drive design quality across the Shire and deliver liveable neighbourhoods for the community in one of Victoria's fasting growing municipalities. This role is a temporary, to end June 2025, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $85.9K to $93.4K (Band 6) plus superannuation. About You We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Urban Designer who has a solid understanding of urban design principles and a keen interest for creating great places for the community. Our ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in urban design, architecture or landscape architecture, with 3-5 years professional experience as an urban designer, with a focus on greenfield precinct structure planning, public realm and streetscape masterplanning and urban design framework projects.
