About the Company: Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health. The Role: We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers and Nurses to work with a male participant in his mid 20's based in Gympie, QLD. Our participant sustained an acquired brain injury from a motor vehicle accident in 2017. As a result of the accident, the participant has limited functional mobility and has developed challenging behaviours (there is a positive behaviour support plan in place). Our participant resides on a property with his family, in a separate cabin with his dog. Our participant interests include music, clothes, cars and socialising. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours. The current care plan in place requires assistance over 2x shifts of care within a 24-hour period Monday through to Sunday with inactive sleepovers. The shift times are as follows: Morning shift will be (07:30am - 5:30pm) Afternoon shift will be (5:30pm - 10:00pm) Inactive overnight shift Successful candidates will be provided full training and upskilling with our clinical support team. Pay Rates: · Day - $40.00 per hour · Evening - $44.50 per hour · Saturday - $56.00 per hour · Sunday - $72.00 per hour · Inactive Sleepover - $100.00 per shift 2 hours at night shift rate Travel Allowance $0.96 per kilometre (applies when transporting to/from medical related appointments only) Key Responsibilities: Assistance with personal care Assistance with domestic tasks including meal prep Assistance with medications Assistance with feeding Behaviour support and management Mobility assistance (if required) community access (2 person assist) Companionship & Capacity Building Skills & Experiences: Previous experience working with Brain injuries and challenging behaviours Australian Driver Licence Current National Police Clearance Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card Current Blue Card First Aid & CPR Certificate Reliable, proactive and positive attitude Please note: two current references are required If you meet the above criteria and are interested in the role, hit the "Apply" button now.
