The Role: Unidex is currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with a range of participants based in Coonamble. As NIISQ & NDIS providers we specialize in working with clients with brain and spinal cord injuries. Most of our clients require complex care support for a range of disabilities including personal care. Various shift available in the Morning and afternoon Successful candidates will be provided full training and upskilling with our clinical support team. The Participant: Our male client is paraplegic and has young chilldren. He recquires bowel therapyy (enemas and digital stimulation), catheter care, asisting with dressing, meal prep and domestic duties. He is quiet and reserved and would just like workers who can help him be as independent as he can Pay Rates: Starting from $38.75 p/h Key Responsibilities: Assistance with personal care Completing skin checks Bowel therapy Catheter care and changes Assist to setup / meal preparation and cleaning up afterwards Assistance with domestic tasks (e.g. laundry, clean toilet, clean floor etc) Parenting assistance Parenting assistance (Participant to be present at all times) Daily Monitoring & Reporting of his current health conditions Companionship & Capacity Building Skills & Experiences: Previous experience working with spinal cord injuries Australian Driver Licence Current National Police Clearance Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card Current Blue Card First Aid & CPR Certificate Reliable, proactive and positive attitude Please note: two current references are required If you meet the above criteria and are interested in the role, hit the "Apply" button now.
