Design and build complex frontend components. Create and maintain web services in AWS to broaden Shopify functionality, exploring innovation and scalability. Participate in technical, architectural, functional, and product collaboration discussions to solve complex business problems. Develop custom backend applications and microservices to enhance the eCommerce platform outside of Shopify Liquid. Oversee proprietary personalization and search functionalities, implementing custom features for an enhanced user journey. Uphold the security, scalability, and maintainability of the codebase through the implementation of industry best practices. Qualifications: Extensive experience in software or website engineering with a proven commercial track record, particularly with Shopify Plus. Seasoned expertise in front-end technologies (Liquid templating engine, React/Preact, CSS, Tailwind) with a focus on unit testing. Advanced skills in backend development, including building Shopify Apps with AWS, REST APIs, and GraphQL. Proven proficiency in developing custom Node.js event-driven applications and microservices, showcasing robust server-side scripting skills. Strong understanding of progressive enhancement, responsive design, accessibility, and UX/UI best practices. In-depth experience in web performance, accessibility, SEO practices, and comprehensive cross-browser/device testing, and automated testing methodologies. Proficient in Agile practices, ticket management. Expertise in DevOps best practice and CI/CD.
