As the Professional Engineer - Aircraft Tooling, you will be responsible for the design and specification authority, creation of maintenance tasks, including repair and modification programs for Aircraft Tooling locally and internationally. Working closely with OEM manufacturers you will ensure all compliance to Australian Standards (or relevant country normative for tooling in International ports) and their respective designs and coordinate extension of maintenance periods where appropriate and manage the approved tooling data and policies. As part of this role you will be responsible for the oversight of the tool performance through the utilisation phase (in service use), ensuring the objectives for in-service performance is to the required specification. The role is required to manage Maintenance plans for maintenance optimisation and guarantee continued use to desired specification up to asset retirement. You will have: Worked in Engineering Discipline role with demonstrated experience with Assets, Asset Management, Asset Maintenance and thorough understanding of the Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and WH/S system in Australia Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline Demonstrated expertise in appropriate project management tools, and experience in leading projects to successful conclusion. Experience in or studying towards Asset Management under ISO 55000 principles and practice. Experience in Safety systems and Safety in Design as it relates to Assets. Able to exercise Engineering judgement and Due Diligence in cause and effect/problem-solving thinking. Able to use CAD systems, 3D modelling, 3D Printing systems and FEA analysis. Able to take the initiative and provide innovative solutions, to provide the best outcome for the customer. Demonstrated management experience in an operational environment. Demonstrated ability to operate in a high-pressure operational environment. Strong analytical skills with high level of planning and lateral problem-solving skills. Sound understanding of and experience operating within Safety management systems.
