Due to significant increase in both renewables and demand for power, we have an opportunity for a Senior Network Planning Engineer in a full-time position to join ElectraNet's Network Planning team. You will specialise in power system planning and network performance. In this role you will: Planning inputs and analysis, including market benefits analysis of the development of the grid and the assessment of individual projects Development and maintenance of power system models, including testing and commissioning Developing planning reports, e.g. Transmission Annual Planning Report Regulatory Investment Tests for Transmission including stakeholder engagement Gain exposure to concepts and practices at the technical forefront of the High Voltage Electrical Engineering profession About You You'll have an inquisitive mind and the ability to clearly articulate your ideas and engage with peers for collaboration. This will allow you to effectively consider a range of variables when identifying the needs of the transmission network and solutions available to ElectraNet while simultaneously managing commercial and regulatory pressures. In addition, you'll possess: Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline A minimum of 10 years' experience in identifying the needs of transmission networks or a related role Eligibility for membership to Engineer's Australia or professional association Well-developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills Demonstrable, advanced written and verbal communication skills Experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and other specialist analysis tools A strong desire and ability to build upon existing technical, investigation, problem-solving and business knowledge/skills How To Apply It is an exciting time to work at ElectraNet.
